The Story:

This is the first NHL jersey ever used by Esa Tikkanen in NHL play om May 23 1985,

vs. The Flyers in Philiadelphia, game two of the 1985 Finals.

This was his only road game in the serie and he also serve his first NHL PIM’s in this jersey.

He had only 3 games that season, all against the Flyers in the 85 Finals, with no points and 2 pim.
Tikkanen
played in line with Kurri and Gretzky.

All the letters was glue strait on to the jersey.

They were later removed and a nameplate made ready, but never put on since the Oilers won the Cup

in Edmonton 2 games later, A few scans from the game.

 

 

The Jersey:

The jersey is a NIKE road and have good inside use and looks to been wash more than a few times,

so l belive it is a re-cyceld jersey. There is also small holes and lose treads were the nameplate would be.

Lower portion of front body features a few stick and puck marks, right sleeve has about 4 or 5 stick marks and

good size portion of green paint. Left sleeve has about the same amount of stick marks.

Two more marks on the back alonge with TIKKANEN in glue were the letters used to be.

It has the nameplate that was made ready for the jersey.

NIKE screend on left bottom hem.
